PALACE CASINO RESORT TO OPEN ALL-NEW CASINO, RESTAURANTS AND LOUNGE ON JUNE 14; RESORT TO CLOSE MAY 31 TO PREPARE FOR OPENING
Biloxi, Miss. – Palace Casino Resort in Biloxi, Miss. will close at noon on May 31 to continue its large-scale expansion and renovation project. On June 14 at 10 a.m., or soon after receiving opening approval from the Gaming Commission, the property will reopen, revealing an all-new casino, restaurants and lounge on the second floor.
During the closure, major transfers of power, water, equipment and technology will take place, and safety inspections will be completed to ensure the property is meeting all requirements.
When the Palace reopens on June 14, the spacious gaming floor will feature an expanded number of table games and hundreds of new slot machines. Surrounding the gaming floor will be three new restaurants – Stacked Grill, offering “Burgers & Everything in Between,” the Palace Café & Bakery, and the new Palace Buffet, which debuted to the public on April 18. Contact Lounge & Sports Bar will show major sporting events on large flat-screen televisions and provide live entertainment on the weekends.
The casino will also be installing new features to increase player benefits and improve guest services. Players club members will earn points faster on a newly designed players club card. A new service window feature on several hundred of the new slots machines will allow players to access their club account and resort information directly on the slot machine. And, a select number of slot machines will allow players to receive bonus slot credits with qualifying play. For added convenience, the casino cashier and players club will be combined into Player Services, offering club account and cashier transactions in the same location.
Keith Crosby, general manager of Palace Casino Resort, says, “I would like to thank all of our customers for their continued support throughout this project. We are very close to revealing a whole new level of fun and excitement on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I can’t wait to share it with everyone.”
Construction will continue through August 2011. The hotel lobby, atrium, spa, gift shop, meeting rooms, Mignon’s Lounge and a high limit gaming area will be the last to be revealed, with the completion of the project.
