This individual must possess organizational skills, be multi-task oriented and able to work on numerous projects simultaneously. Coordinator must be able and willing to handle high pressure situations and meet the demands of constant deadlines. The marketing coordinator will assist in planning and execution of promotions, special events, tournaments, player development events, and related activities.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and executing of promotions and special events, primarily on Friday and Saturday nights. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
- Operate drawing and tournament software. Announce promotions and winners over the PA.
- Coordinate details and payment of live entertainment.
- Assist in obtaining bids and purchasing for player gifts, giveaways, and supplies.
- Assist in decorating for player events, promotions, and holidays.
- Coordinate marketing support services, including advertising, PR, data, analysis, and internal departments.
- Responsible for accurate data entry in casino player management system.
- Responsible for maintaining display of marketing messages such as posters, signs, screens, etc.
- Must be multi-task oriented and able to work on several projects at the same time.
- Must be able and willing to handle high pressure situations and meet the demands of constant deadlines with excellent time management skills.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all data.
- Traffic department projects through production channels with other resort departments and various vendors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Requirements:
- BA or BS in marketing or related degree.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in marketing or related field, casino marketing experience preferred.
- Must possess excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Must possess impeccable proofreading and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of casino player tracking system and experience preferred.
- Must be able to obtain a MS Gaming Permit.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including but not limited to: Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point. Must possess good computer skills.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, provide facts, conclusions, and solutions.
- Ability to work with math concepts, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, and probability.
- Motivated, self-starter with excellent guest service skills.
- Highly organized, focused and flexible to changing priorities.
- Great attitude and a team player. Good listening skills with minimal ego.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
