Biloxi, MS —Palace Casino Resort is proud to announce the resort has been designated as an American Automobile Association (AAA) “Best of Housekeeping” resort property for 2020, placing them in the top 25 percent of all 27,000 AAA inspected and approved hotels. The resort is also designated as a Four Diamond hotel by AAA.
“We are honored to receive the AAA Best of Housekeeping designation, which reflects the hard work and ongoing commitment to excellence of our dedicated associates,” stated Keith Crosby, Palace Casino Resort General Manager. “Our guests can be assured we maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the resort. The designation is even more important and impressive during the current pandemic.”
While every hotel must meet expected standards of cleanliness and condition to qualify as AAA Inspected & Approved and receive a Diamond Rating, the “Best of Housekeeping” designation is exclusively awarded to resort and hotel properties that “significantly surpass expectations, as measured during a comprehensive, on-site inspection.” In order to meet the stringent criteria for the award, these properties must demonstrate housekeeping excellence by receiving the highest possible cleanliness and condition scores for two consecutive inspections, as well as be entirely free of AAA member complaints. All areas of the property must reflect this very high standard as AAA inspectors review for evidence of dirt, dust, equipment performance and more.
“AAA has found that cleanliness and physical condition are consistently among the most important components travelers consider when looking for a hotel. This new designation identifies hotels with exceptional practices,” said Michael Petrone, Director of AAA Inspections & Diamond Ratings. A hotel’s housekeeping and maintenance attributes are among the most rigorous components analyzed during the unannounced evaluation conducted annually by AAA’s professionally trained inspectors.
